Specter to join the Democrats
While this is obviously good news for Democrats in the short term, the question is whether the Keystone State Democrats can unite behind Specter and keep him in the Senate.

It is obvious that if the Republican party doesn't change their stance on certain issues they will remain the minority party for quite sometime. But will these issues remain the most important issues within the next upcoming elections? Perhaps something even more drastic will occur and the Republicans will get the benefit of the doubt. With the way things are going right now, they are in need of a plan...
